The Riviera Ligure Dialysis Centres, directed by Nephrology Specialist Dr Angelo Sanguineti, were established with the aim of meeting the needs of Italian and foreign haemodialysis medical tourists.

Villa Azzurra, Loano, Centri Dialisi della Riviera Ligure

The first dialysis centre was opened in Chiavari in 1981, before moving to San Salvatore di Cogorno in 1999.

Due to the many requests received from Riviera di Ponente, the Albenga dialysis centre was opened at the San Michele Clinic in 2016 and was joined in 2022 by the new Loano dialysis centre in splendid Villa Azzurra.

All of our centres are accredited by the Liguria Region and affiliated with the Italian national health service.

Bicarbonate dialysis and online haemodiafiltration treatments are carried out at our centres with latest-generation Fresenius equipment.
The staff is made up of qualified healthcare professionals, with an on-site physician available during haemodialysis sessions at the Albenga and San Salvatore di Cogorno centres. The Loano Centre is a Limited Assistance Centre (LAC).

Mission

Centro Dialisi Riviera Ligure gives haemodialysis patients from other regions or countries the chance to spend time in the Italian Riviera, offering them haemodialysis in affiliation with the Italian national health service. Patients are welcome at our eastern facilities (San Salvatore di Cogorno) and our western facilities (Albenga and Loano).

Centro Dialisi Riviera Ligure is accredited by the Liguria Region and affiliated with the ASL4 Chiavarese and ASL2 Savonese local health authorities.
